Man loses pants while leading deputies on chase through apartment complex

SAN ANTONIO — The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man who led them on a chase before taking off his pants and running through an apartment complex to get away.

The chase started sometime before 5 a.m. in South Bexar County when deputies tried to pull a driver over near Loop 410 and Southton Road. He drove down several streets and highways before finally stopping near the San Jose apartment complex and running off.

Deputies said they believe the suspect took off his pants, because they found a pair of pants with an ID in the pocket. They said they believe they know who they are looking for, but so far, no arrests have been made.

A police helicopter assisted deputies with their search.

No other information was released.
